Joe Loy is a music producer, educator, singer-songwriter, creator of content for kids, and a voice actor. While on tour or at events, Joe serves in various roles as a sound engineer and a session bass player or guitarist for various artists locally and internationally.

 

Joe was part of the team nominated for Best Musical at The BOH Cameronian Awards 2023 for “Follow The Light” He has worked with local artists and notable industry namessuch as Siti Nurhaliza, Anuar Zain, Adibah Noor, Yasmin Ahmad and Pete Teo to name a few

 

Joe is also the founder of Brightlights Music, a recording and production studio in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, where most of his creative work takes place, providing content and curation to both local and international regions. Joe was also the recipient of 2 Cendana grants during the pandemic period. Formulating ideas for children's edutainment was at its peak during these times and resulted in collaborative works for Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia (PNM), Perpustakaan Kuala Lumpur, Educity (Johor), and Taylor’s College (DECE) Early Childhood Education Programme.

 

In addition to that, "Stories, Rhymes & Singalong with…….” was developed in 2020 to be a fun-filled program for kids between 2-7 years old for online content, live events, and parties.

Joe has also been active in the tertiary music establishment and has been an adjunct lecturer in the field of music production and live sound courses at UCSI University for the past 10 years and has also conducted workshops at Sunway University, Taylor's University and other music and creative-based instituitions in the Klang Valley. TASA, The Actors Studio Academy @Klpac, is also very close to Joe’s heart as he leads and trains singing for kids in musical theatre.
